Volunteer & Leadership Opportunities - CND members in good standing are eligible to volunteer or become officers and board members.
Please note: the Council for Nail Disorders does not offer rolling membership renewals. The new dues structure takes
effect on January 1, 2023. Members who joined throughout 2022 during the $50 promotional rate are required to
renew for continued access to CND's exclusive benefits.
MEMBER ELIGIBILITY:

FIRST 5-YRS. POST-RESIDENCY OR FELLOWSHIP - $200

For the first five years post-residency or fellowship, we offer a 50% reduction in dues, at $200. To qualify for this rate, please transmit a copy of documentation that designates the year of completion of your residency or fellowship to Kristen.CND@gmail.com.

DERMATOLOGY FELLOW - $400
-
Any U.S. or Canadian licensed dermatologist who is either board certified by or Board eligible for the American Board of Dermatology or the American Osteopathic Board of Dermatology shall be eligible for fellow membership. Fellow membership engenders the right to vote, hold office, be assessed dues, and accept appointments to committees or special projects. Maintenance of fellow membership requires payment of annual dues by a deadline determined by the Board of Trustees.

PODIATRIC FELLOW - $400

Any licensed U.S. or Canadian podiatrist who is board certified by or board eligible for the American Board of Podiatric Medicine (ABPM), the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery (ABFAS), the American Board of Multiple Specialties in Podiatry (AMMSP), or the American College of Lower Extremity Surgeons (ACLES) shall be eligible for Podiatric Fellowship. Podiatric Fellow membership engenders the right to vote, to run or be appointed to one of two possible Board of Director positions, be accessed dues, and accept appointment to committees or special projects. Maintenance of fellow membership requires payment of dues by a deadline determined by the Board of Trustees.

ASSOCIATE - $400

Any licensed physician (MD, DO, DPM) trained and practicing in the United States or Canada is eligible for associate membership. Associate members shall have the rights and obligations of fellow members except that they may not hold elected office.

NON-RESIDENT FELLOW - $200

Any licensed, board-certified dermatologist practicing outside the U.S. or Canada shall be eligible for non-resident fellow membership. Non-resident fellows shall have the full rights and obligations of fellow members.

NON-RESIDENT ASSOCIATE - $200

Any licensed dermatologist, physician, or podiatrist, who is not board-certified, trained, and practicing outside the U.S. or Canada shall be eligible for non-resident associate membership. Non-resident associate members shall have the rights and obligations of associate members.

AFFILIATE - $400
-
Any medical researcher, interested corporate representative, or non-health-related nail professional (e.g. cosmetician, etc.) shall be eligible for affiliate membership. Affiliate membership may be granted by a three-fourths (3/4) majority vote of the Board of Trustees. Affiliate members shall have all the rights and obligations of fellow members except they may not hold elected office or vote.

GRADUATE - WAIVED

Any graduate dermatology or podiatry resident eligible for membership shall have the right to vote except that they may not hold elected office. Graduate members shall be exempt from membership dues and assessments. A graduate member may maintain this status for no more than three years.

HONORARY - WAIVED
-
Honorary membership shall be granted to any individual upon a majority vote of the Board of Trustees of the CND. An Honorary Member shall not have the right to vote, hold elected office, or be assessed dues. In general, they have no specific membership rights or obligations other than voluntary attendance and participation at membership meetings.
